How To Get Smooth, Glowing Skin

Exfoliation removes dead skin cells, leaving your skin radiant and smooth. You can exfoliate all year round at least twice a month. Whether it's bikini season or you just want soft, clean skin, exfoliating your skin from head to toe will get you glowing.

Many beauties exfoliate their faces but do not exfoliate other body parts. As the weather heats up and you get bikini-ready, you should exfoliate all over. Exfoliation is also important before  when rejuvenating winter-weary skin.
Supplies: Exfoliating Scrub or cleanser, Loofah, body brush or exfoliating gloves, Pumice stone, Body Balm or cream.
COMING SOON TO YAMERRA.COM:
Eco-Luxury Honey Vanilla Body Scrub
Instructions:
  • Before stepping into the shower, brush your dry skin .This will help remove the loose skin and prepare your skin for the exfoliating process. Begin with the soles of your feet, working your way up your body.
  • Get into the shower and wet your body from head to toe. Don't exfoliate your skin if you are sunburned or have any open cuts or wounds.
  • Use a pumice stone on your feet to eliminate rough spots and calluses.
  • Apply your exfoliating cleanser to your loofah or gloves. Begin scrubbing your body in a circular motion starting with the bottoms of your feet and working your way up. When you reach the bikini area, don't scrub too hard because the skin is very sensitive.
  • Be gentle on your face, particularly around your eyes and mouth. Use an exfoliating product especially formulated for the face, which is gentler than products designed to be used on the body.
  • Don't forget about your hands. You want them to look and feel soft and smooth too!
  • Rinse your body with lukewarm water, and follow with the coldest water you can stand. Apply a shower gel to soften your skin.

After stepping out of the shower, apply a moisturizing body balm all over.
Any of Yamerra’s Shea Hair and Body blends are recommended. Find one here. Exfoliation is drying to the skin, so you must keep your skin hydrated.

BEAUTY Rx: Did You Know Yamerra's Sultry Mango is Excellent for Brittle Hair and Dry Skin?

I use quiet a number of natural beauty products as well as Yamerra's within my skin and hair regimen. While I have used Sultry Mango, my favorite Yamerra Eco-Luxe treats include Lemon-Fire Bliss Lemongrass (because its uplifting and invigorating with fresh tea tree for my dandruff and rosemary and burdock for my dry skin). I also LOVE LOVE LOVE Home Sweet Home Honey Vanilla. It is so gentle and mild, fresh and sensuous and I can use it head-to-toe, even on my face, lips and under my eyes (at night).

I noticed my hair was breaking last week and started using Yamerra's Sultry Mango. I have not used it in a while because I would usually go for Lemongrass or Honey Vanilla. Oh my! I forgot how amazing it is!!!! I washed and air dried my hair last night, and applied sparingly to my scalp and locks. Then I twisted hair into bantu knots.

This morning, my hair smelled so fresh and felt so so soft! My deep Mango conditioning treatment has really helped to stop the breaking too, reducing brittleness and softening my locks! Check out a review below by NaturallyNellzy (5k plus followers on YouTube, natural beauty advocate and Eco-conscious beauty maven). She review Yamerra's Sultry Mango, Be Bodacious Tangerine Grapefruit and our Natural Facial Serum:

Save-Our-Earth Saturday: Green Solutions You can easily adopt into daily living

I am excited to share some really cool information on how to be more Eco-conscious around the house. I found that you can easily adopt some of these Green Solutions and participate in saving our resources!

I have listed some Green Solution I practice below. Feel free to leave us a comment about how YOU are reducing waste of resources around YOUR home:

REDUCE

  • For every 10 minutes you shower, you may be using up to 25 gallons of water. If you used a WaterSense-rated showerhead (epa.gov/watersense), 120 million gallons could be saved in just one day — that's 182 Olympic-size pools! — and $88 million a year.
  • Windows and doors can be major causes of heat loss especially in the winter, with faulty windows adding 10 to 25 percent to your heating bill. Open blinds during the day to let sun in. At dusk, close them to trap heat.
  • Pay bills online, or set up automatic check paying from your bank account. No envelopes, no postage — and no late fees, if you’re on an automatic plan.
  • Choose concentrated or ultra cleaning products, which use 50 to 60 percent less packaging than traditional formulas while cleaning just as thoroughly.
  • True or false: The only way to save your computer’s energy during a lunch break is to shut it down. False. Leaving it in “sleep” mode uses very little electricity — with no wait for rebooting when you return.

Let' be Eco-conscious, after all- It's Ultra fashionable!
